I'll say it simply: Do not eat here. After months of the kitchen being closed by new owners it finally opened a few months ago and it looks like it isn't teething problems. Something very, very bad has happened to what used to be an excellent gastro pub.
Excuse we getting anecdotal here. The first time we ate it was a tiny chicken burger, over cooked and dry with cold chips. Second time we had bangers and Mash which were bad food. The mash was weird, the sausages were incredibly tough and leathery. I tried to have a mixture of two sausages but instead we were served two seperate dishes, told by the truculent staff that it wasn't possible to split the flavours. All this screams "BOUGHT IN FOOD". They can't even get sausage and mash right. While we were there other people were sending back the burgers and chips which were, yes, you've guessed it cold. And it ain't cheap neither. Bad food. Terrible attitude. They really either don't get it or don't care. Either way, don't eat there.
