Every big event in my life since I discovered the Big Easy has been celibrated there. I cannot think of a better setting in which to gather my friends and family for unforgetable times. As a south african I am very fussy over my steak but they get it right every time with both size and quality. After you have been there every where else seems a let down and I recommend the Big Easy to everyone that I meet.

London's Biggest and Best Steak and Shellfish, served with a giant side of fun!

Come to Big Easy Bar-B-Q & Crabshack, in the heart of Chelsea, London, for some great food, fantastic live music and an altogether unforgettable experience!

Big Easy prides itself on an inviting menu, generous portions, served up in a great venue providing one of London's most unique dining experiences. Big Easy's menu features everything from delicious Aberdeen Angus steaks, chicken and babyback ribs, to mouth watering jumbo shrimp, fresh Maine lobster and diver caught scallops, all grilled and home smoked Bar-B-Q'd to the beat of some great live bands every night!

Big Easy was borne out of owner Paul Corrett's vision of creating an international chain of US style restaurants, following a long stint travelling through America in the early 80's.

Paul joined with a US counterpart, and used the contacts he had made during his trip to create a great quality seafood and steakhouse, with the first branch originally intended for opening in Texas. Whilst the concept was being fully developed and styled by a renowned design team from America, an opportunity arose in London, thus leading to the first branch of Big Easy being opened in Chelsea's Kings Road, with a US chef and management!

Big Easy may share its name with the nickname given to New Orleans, but the menu takes its influence from the Gulf States, from the Bar-B-Q style of Texas to the delicious seafood found in Florida and Louisiana. Big Easy simply aims to provide the finest home style, simple cooking fare using the freshest and best ingredients. The temptation starts with the appetizers, some hot Voodoo Chicken Wings (?7.95), or perhaps dive into the Oyster, Shrimp and Crab claw combo (?9.95), served chilled with a range of sauces, including home made honey mustard.

Main courses are where the real fun begins. Whether you're in the mood for hickory-smoked Bar-B-Q Chicken (?13.90) or the wonderfully moreish whole rack home smoked Bar-B-Q Babyback Ribs ('14.40), look no further,we've got it all! Want it all' We have so many combos, there really is something to please everyone of all appetites! Of course if you're feeling really hungry, there's always the Big Easy's tribute to Delmonico's famous steak house in New York with their massive 32 ounce Porterhouse steak (?18.90),go on, we dare you! Seafood lovers will be lost at sea with the choices they have. The impressive 4lb Maine Lobster (?21.50), flown in fresh everyday, is probably London's largest, whilst the delicious Crabshack Combo (?15.90), consisting of mussels, jumbo shrimp and the finest Alaskan Snow Crabs legs is equally tempting. Fancy a real challenge' Why not take on the UK's biggest 'Surf n' Turf', featuring a 2lb Sirloin Steak, 4lb Lobster and 1lb of fries. Those capable of finishing this monster of a meal can have their name forever immortalised on the challenge board!

To finish with, Big Easy has some of the most sinful desserts available. Indulge in the Rich Truffle Cake (?4.50) or succumb to the temptation of the Apple Pie with Cinnamon and Sultanas (?4.50). Bordering on evil (for your waistline anyway!) is our home made Apple Cinnamon Waffle (?4.50), featuring fresh cut & cored apples pan-fried in butter, brown sugar & cinnamon, poured over our toasted waffle, and served with syrup, butter, caramel sauce and whipped cream!

In keeping with the rest of the restaurant, the Big Easy's drinks menu is equally impressive. Featuring an award winning wine list and great cocktails, it is even worth coming early and soaking up the lively atmosphere at the bar, whilst challenging the barman to find your perfect drink!

Our atmosphere is cool & relaxed all the way, from big screen TV's showing the latest sport to live music every night. With space for up to 160 diners over its two floors, Big Easy regularly enjoys catering for parties of all sizes. Throw in the friendliest service and most meaningful portions this side of the Atlantic, as well as the many famous faces popping through regularly, and Big Easy really does become a 'must visit' restaurant!

So bring your friends, bring your family, even bring your taxi driver! Just bring someone and enjoy an experience big on food and big on fun!
