I enjoy eating at Kiasu - the food is good and the staff are very helpful and cheerful. The char kway teow, mee pok, wanton mee, etc are all fanstastic, not to mention the starters like Gado Gado, Tahu Goreng, Or Luak, Chye Taqo Kweh - all wonderful. The ice kacang is just superb

Kiasu...food from the straits

Kiasu is London?s new restaurant on Queensway, with an owner afraid of being second best.

Newly opened, Kiasu is already winning rave reviews from both locals and the media, with cuisine at that derives its influence from The Straits (of Malacca) and its Far Eastern neighbours.

In the Chinese Hokkien dialect, the word Kiasu means, 'afraid to lose? i.e. ?afraid to be second best?, this fear is eleviated by the spectacular food you?ll find at Kiasu.
