After a year locked away, Funhouse Comedy Club returns to The Kings Head Hotel, Cirencester on Thursday June 24th for a much needed night of laughter.
Topping the bill is comedian, writer, radio broadcaster and TV presenter Nick Page, a semi-finalist on 'Britain's Got Talent' and winner of English Comedian of the Year 2017. The seemingly indestructible, larger than life, award winning English comic, whose life is a series of disasters, somehow turning into unlikely triumphs. No gimmicks, no PowerPoint, no props and no flipcharts. Just stories and belly laughs, he is a master of his art.
Opening the night will be Alfie Moore who has appeared on ITV's 'Show Me The Funny' and 'The Wright Stuff'. Following the success of the first series on BBC Radio 4 of 'It's a Fair Cop' in 2014 and subsequent exceptional feedback, from listeners and media reviews, three further series have aired, the fourth of which was aired last year. A police sergeant, he brings a wealth of insights and comedy moments from his eighteen years on the beat, where a keen sense of humour has been the key to his success and survival! His engaging style enables him to get serious points across whilst still making the crowd laugh until they ache.
Completing the line-up is the totally engaging Russell Arathoon, a 'So You Think I'm Funny Finalist', with his hilarious observations and fast paced one- liners.
Compere for the night will be Karen Bayley the first ever female winner of the prestigious Comedy Store King Gong award. With her shrewd wit and great timing she surprises her audiences with her inspired and sparkling punch-lines.
