Funhouse Comedy Club returns to the Lyric Rooms, Ashby-de-la-Zouch on Thursday July 7th for another great night of laughter.
Topping the bill is International stand-up comedian Paul Sinha, who has appeared on ITV’s ‘Tonight at The London Palladium’ and is currently one of the ‘chasers’ on ITV’s quiz show The Chase and writer/host/presenter of Paul Sinha’s History Revision on Radio 4. The eloquent and intelligent ex-GP has found the perfect balance of mixing politics with comedy. His one-liners are delivered with the crisp clarity of cut glass and engaging warmth, creating a hugely entertaining and captivating set.
Opening the night will be comedian, musician and presenter, the charming and imaginative Tom Houghton, a former member of improv comedy group The Noise Next Door with whom he appeared on BBC 1 ‘The One Show’. He has supported Daniel Sloss and Justin Moorhouse on tour and appeared on CH 4 ‘First Date Hotel’. One of the most fascinating and funny acts on the circuit, telling stories about his astonishing upbringing with a father that was head of the British army and living in The Tower of London.
Also appearing will be award winning comedian and actor Dan Antopolski, who had a role in the feature film Paddington 2. With his wonderful way of setting up an intellectually-based proposition and then kicking it in the teeth and hilarious observations about family life, he enthrals the crowd.
Completing the line-up is the hilarious and unique Bunny Hopkins.
Compere for the night will be the energetic and animated Spiky Mike.
