The Wave Project has been working with isolated young people in Sussex since 2015. Since then, we have delivered approximately six surf therapy courses to sixty local children and young people each year’. We need your help to be able to continue giving these much needed resources to the many children and young people in the area. We have an amazing team of volunteers, life guards, coaches and co-ordinators who work tirelessly to be able to keep this going. We have the amazing opportunity of meeting wonderful children and young people through the project who are able to face their fears, build their confidence and really grow through the sessions. Using surfing as a form of therapy has many benefits for all involved.
Maria has been a volunteer Surf Mentor since the Summer of 2020 and has been involved with surf therapy and surf clubs sessions ever since. She is a much loved member of the team and the wing walk will be her biggest fundraising challenge to date. We really appreciate your support.
