World-class acclaimed entertainer Movin’ Melvin Brown is finally back in Brighton with his smash hit soulful Musical ‘Me and Otis’. Movin’ Melvin does Otis Redding, the celebrated soul of Soul Music. You will hear songs Otis did, plus more of the era and some of Melvin’s originals. A dazzling extravaganza of song, dance, tap-dance and soulful funk! On May 18th and 19th at the Caravanserai Brighton: Luna Parc stage, part of Brighton Fringe Festival 2023.

Hailing from Austin, Texas, Movin’ Melvin was a featured artist at Oprah Winfrey’s birthday party for the iconic poet and writer Maya Angelou; he opened for Harry Connick Junior on his Australian tour of 1997 and has appeared alongside Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder, James Brown, and in several movies with Willie Nelson. Lionel Richie and The Commodores opened for Melvin’s concert in Tuskegee, Alabama.
