Drumming for Wellbeing

A weekly group for exploring issues of wellbeing while having fun with drums and percussion. Absolutely no experience necessary.

Rhythm based Wellbeing Sessions are for small groups of people to meet once a week in a safe and supportive environment to talk about issues of mental health and wellbeing. We will use a combination of drum games, group music making and discussions to explore a different topic each week.

Sessions will last for two hours and will be limited to 15 registered members at any time. Payment will be voluntary, in order to make the service available to anyone who needs it regardless of income (no proof required, just pay what you can afford and no more, recommended £2 – £10). There will be time before and after each session for mingling and chatting and free refreshments will be available.

The kinds of topics we’ll be delving into could include…
Living positively
Assertiveness
Emotional boundaries
Emotional resilience
Forgiveness
Dealing with stress and anxiety
Mindfulness
Connecting with others
Dealing with depression
Gratitude
Finding meaning
Authenticity
Self Compassion
