12 years ago Clare Marx and her team replaced both my hips at Ipswich Hospital. Sadly Clare passed away last year due to pancreatic cancer. Her wish was that donations be made to Pancreatic Cancer UK.
In her memory a small team of us are cycling from Ipswich Hospital to the RCS London to raise funds for her nominated charity. The bulk of us are doing this over 2 days and are sleeping in a church hall in Romford. A couple of the team are leaving early on the Sunday morning and meeting us en-route. If anyone would like to join us please get in touch with me buy the end of June.
I am sure there must be many many people who read your paper who have had their lives transformed by the skills of Clare and her team over the years , I know I have. This couldn’t have happened without you both.
