About Africa Oyé Festival 2027
The ‘jewel in Liverpool’s festival crown’ made a triumphant return to Sefton Park this summer – successfully transitioning from a historically free event to a ticketed festival – with over 25,000 people in attendance. Across the weekend, the field was a picture of joy and togetherness, with a vibrant and family-friendly atmosphere, bringing a renewed vigour for live music and unmatched energy from the Oyé community.
Africa Oyé has been a fixture of Liverpool’s summer since 1992 and has grown into the UK’s biggest celebration of African and Caribbean music and culture, drawing artists and audiences from across the continent and the Diaspora to Sefton Park.
What to Expect at Africa Oyé 2027
In 2027, audiences can expect an even more eclectic mix of music and culture from across Africa and the Diaspora, with international artists to emerging local talent playing live, a host of community performances and the return of Oyé’s DJ stage. Expect an action packed programme of family friendly workshops and activities in the Oyé Family Zone, as well as world cuisine, arts, crafts and so much more from over 90 stalls in the ‘Oyé Village’.

Tickets & Pricing
Earlybird prices see Liverpool City Region resident tickets start at just £12 with children’s tickets at £2.50 and Under 5s getting in free.

Getting There
Africa Oyé Festival takes place in Sefton Park, the largest public park in Liverpool, on Aigburth Drive (L17 1AP) in the south of the city. The park is served by St Michaels and Aigburth stations, with regular buses along Aigburth Road and Croxteth Gate, and there is limited on-street parking around the park boundary – arriving by train or bus is by far the easiest option on festival weekend.
