The Epping Forest Bike Ride 2026 is a family-friendly charity cycle through the ancient woodland of Epping Forest, starting and finishing at Chingford Plains in North-East London. With gravel path routes of 10km and 16km, there is a distance for everyone. Every penny raised supports Haven House Children’s Hospice, which cares for seriously ill children and their families across North and East London and West Essex.
About the Event
The ride takes place on Sunday 4 October 2026, with riders setting off from Chingford Plains between 10:00 and 13:00. The event is organised by Haven House Children’s Hospice and offers a choice of two fully signed, marshalled routes through the forest: a gentle 10km loop perfect for families and beginners, and a longer 16km route for seasoned riders who want to explore the woodland trails. All riders receive a bespoke finisher’s medal.
The Routes
10km route: A relaxed ride on gravel paths through the forest, ideal for families with children, beginners and anyone who wants a pleasant Sunday morning in the saddle.
16km route: A longer loop for riders ready to tackle more of the forest’s trails, with stunning woodland scenery, gentle climbs and rewarding descents.
Both routes start and finish at Chingford Plains, where you will find the event village, refreshments and friendly marshals to point you in the right direction. A detailed route map is provided before the event.

Supporting Haven House Children’s Hospice
Haven House Children’s Hospice needs your support more than ever. The charity provides specialist care whenever and wherever families need it, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. By taking part and fundraising, you will help fund its Music Therapy service, specialist nurses who support families at home, respite care in the hospice and specialist bereavement support for families who have lost a child.
Getting There

Tickets & Registration
Registration costs £25 for adults and £15 for under 18s, with a fundraising target of £75 per person or £150 per family.
