King Kurt started out in 1981 from the depths of The South London Swamps, playing a mixture of Punk, Rock’n’Roll and what became Psychobilly. A single released in 1982, Destination Zululand made No.36 in the UK charts, this got them invited onto Top of The Pops. Infamous drunking contests, flour and food fights ensued making their gigs unique and getting them banned for being so outrageous. King Kurt are still one of the greatest fun bands you will see on stage. The original instigator and guitarist, John Reddington returned a few years ago this time on Saxophone.
Cave Girl and The Neandergals are a new Psychobilly band. An all girl act busting out from the caves of Manchester to show the Dinosaurs just how to slap that bass.
