The London National Park City launches on July 22nd. London National Park City, put simply, is a movement to improve life in London, working with residents, visitors and partners to: Enjoy London's great outdoors more and make the city greener, healthier and wilder.
Let's dream the possible as we explore the power of asking "What if...?". In partnership with Conway Hall, come to hear short, inspiring and thought-provoking talks from over 20 activists, adventurers, growers, photographers and more as they share ideas and dream the possible. After hearing the talks we'll open the conversation into a forum for anyone to ask questions and exchange thoughts.
Speakers include climate change lawyer and Extinction Rebellion activist Farhana Yamin, artist and photographer Jasmine Kamal-Pasha, adventurer Dwayne Fields, mudlarker Nicola White, author of London is a Forest Paul Wood, insect photographer and DJ Penny Metal, and political scientist gone social entrepreneur Pernille Moeller and ranger Chamu Kuppuswamy with many more to be announced.
Pop-Up Picnic Fair (11:30 - 13:00) - Bring some food along and join in with our Pop-Up Picnic Fair in Red Lion Square before the Talks. There will be lots of groups coming along to share opportunities for helping to make London greener, healthier and wilder or to get outside and enjoy London more.
National Park City Walks - There will be a small number of led walks before and after the main National Park City Talks event. You will be able to book them on the day.
This event is in the Main Hall on the ground floor. For accessibility info: https://conwayhall.org.uk/about/visiting-us
