RICHIO SUZUKI
Richio Suzuki has been spinnin’ tunes for over 35 years. He has moved around playing in many area’s including House in late 80s, old skool hip hop in 90s, eclectic back room and bar sets, celebrity parties, TV shows and festivals. Playing at Ministry of Sound, Southport Weekender and festivals such as Lovebox, Lattitude and Standon Calling.
He has had long residencies at hotel bars such as St Martin’s Lane, Metropolitan Hotel, Hoxton Hotel and recently The Ned. In recent years he’s been playing Funk, Soul, Disco, Jazz, Ska and Northern Soul; plus 50s and 60s at venues like the CLF Art Cafe / Bussey at South London Soul Train in Peckham, Ronnie Scotts in Soho, Passing Clouds in Dalston, and Old Street Records in Shoreditch. He currently hosts several events – Hawaiian Bop, Version Excursion, Mellow Mellow Right On and Music Is My Sanctuary. He has traveled to play abroad visiting Japan, Thailand, France, Ibiza, Belgium, Luxembourg, Czech Republic, Italy, Denmark and Bahrain.
MUCHO SOUL – Alan Kenny Arscott (DJ A.K.A) and Ket Shah
Mucho Soul began back in 2001 as a monthly club night in Soho, London. The brainchild of long time muso’s and record collectors Alan Kenny Arscott (DJ A.K.A) and Ket Shah. Mucho Soul initially set out to encompass all manner of audio delights with the emphasis on Soul, playing to a discerning and appreciative Saturday night crowd. Their soulful concept soon developed to include a more varied and eclectic selection of black influenced dance music from Jazz, Disco, Reggae, Funk, and House through to the very best in Nu Electronica.
In addition to the many regular live DJ appearances Alan and Ket also present their popular Mucho Soul Radio Show every Tuesday on TWR which broadcasts globally via the net. The Mucho Souls shows are also available to download and stream every week.
The Mucho Soul show has built up a strong following tuning in every week to hear their broadcasts which have included critically acclaimed interviews with Jazz Funk legend Lonnie Liston Smith, Acid Jazz Pioneers Eddie Pillar and Dean Rudland, Rare Groove Legend Norman Jay, Afro House Specialist Atjazz and Global Disco Stars The Body and Soul trio: Danny Krivit, Joe Claussell and Francois K.
