Riverhouse Comedy Night

Bingham Riverhouse Richmond presents an evening of stand up comedy with special guests Simon Brodkin, Shazia Mirza, Sara Barron and Carl Donnelly.

Fresh from his sold-out, critically-acclaimed Edinburgh Fringe run and becoming the most viewed British comedian of all time on TikTok, world-famous prankster and Lee Nelson creator Simon Brodkin joins us to headline an evening of comedy at Bingham Riverhouse.

Famed for creating quirky characters, Simon Brodkin is one of the UK’s most popular stand-up comedians. Born in London, he studied medicine at the University of Manchester but ended up a doctor-turned-comic following the success of his debut show at 2006’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Called Simon Brodkin: Everyone But Himself, it featured a handful of characters including the playful prankster Lee Nelson. The show sold out every night and also won him the Writer’s Guild Award for Best Newcomer.

In 2010 and 2013, Brodkin wrote and starred in Lee Nelson’s Well Good Show and Lee Nelson’s Well Funny People, respectively. During the years that followed, he performed as Lee Nelson on Comedy Rocks With Jason Manford, Let’s Dance For Comic Relief, Live At The Apollo and Let’s Dance For Sports Relief while also hitting the road with character-led comedy tours.
