SLANE, COUNTY MEATH, IRE 02.03.21 Proudly presents its first-ever UK St. Patrick’s day concert featuring The Scratch and special guests at The Underworld, Camden. The Scratch are one of the most unique and interesting bands to emerge from the Irish music scene in years. After two years of not being able to celebrate St. Patrick’s day to its fullest extent, this concert is not one to be missed.
Slane Irish Whiskey is produced at Slane Distillery within the grounds of Slane Castle, the home of Irish rock and roll not only has music at its heart, but its triple-cask blend delivers a truly bold and progressive flavour, perfect for St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.

Slane Castle and Slane Irish Distillery
Set at the heart of a 1,500-acre estate in the Boyne Valley, 30 miles north of Dublin, Slane Castle is the home of Lord Henry Conyngham, the eighth Marquess Conyngham, and his son, Alex Conyngham, the Earl of Mount Charles and co-founder of Slane Irish Whiskey. The grounds of Slane Castle are also home to Slane Distillery, the first distillery built by Brown-Forman outside of the US bringing together the barrel-raising art of Brown-Forman from Kentucky and the historic lands of the Conyngham family.
Slane Irish Whiskey marries traditional Irish craftsmanship with innovations like its signature Triple Casked maturation process. Using a blend of virgin, seasoned and sherry casks, the resulting spirit is bold, yet smooth and more robust and complex than a traditional blended Irish whiskey. Its striking black bottle calls out its distinctive flavour and unconventional approach that embodies the pride of Slane. It was created by Brown-Forman working with the Conyngham family, which has three centuries of ties to the village of Slane. For more than 150 years, Brown-Forman has enriched the experience of life by responsibly building fine quality beverage alcohol brands including Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey, Woodford Reserve, Old Forester and Tequila Herradura.

The Scratch
Started as a fun experiment in the kitchen of a house in Perrystown, The Scratch is a 4-piece acoustic act from Dublin, Ireland. Born from a shared love of acoustic guitar, metal and traditional Irish music, The Scratch has moulded triumphant melodies with the groove and intensity of metal.
A 2017 busking trip to Rory Gallagher festival in Ballyshannon kick-started the journey, as a video of the band busking racked up an astonishing one million views in just a week and was shared around the world. An invitation to do a free show in Dublin’s Whelan’s followed, and then a string of Dublin headliners increasingly bigger venues, each one sold out before doors. Most recently their Academy Dublin show sold out in just four days. Their first UK show in The Camden Assembly was also sold out ahead of time.
Their first EP Old Songs was released in 2018, a collection of older instrumental material. Next came stand-alone singles and crowd favourites Get It Right Up and Punisher that summer. 2019 saw the release of The Whole Buzz EP as well as singles CĂșnla and Flaker, with marked development of their songwriting style and sound. The Whole Buzz further cemented The Scratch as one of the best trad revival/metal crossover acts in the country and one of the most exciting acoustic acts in the world with high energy acoustic riffs and soaring melodies littered across the 5 tracks.
