MARVIN GILMORE is a humanitarian, entrepreneur, political advisor, honoured World War II veteran, musician, and family man, to name just a few of the many incarnations for which this amazing man is known, both nationally and internationally. So to say that we are honoured to help celebrate his life and legend through the genius of his children is an understatement.

This is a rare opportunity to see THE GILMORE BROTHERS Live, as their highly impactful and influential careers have covered the globe alongside some of the world’s finest artists, but rarely has it seen them share the same stage. Add to that, between-the-liveness DJ sets from South London Soul Train Host and brother from another mother JAZZHEADCHRONIC and you know it’s on!
Two words …. Prepare Yourself!

MARQUE GILMORE the inna-most (Acousti-Lectric Drumz)
Internationally acclaimed drummer percussionist; future‐music and live electronic music performance pioneer; professional international solo musician, producer, arranger and innovative cultural arts practitioner; Musical/Creative Director for the music/multi-media performance project DRUM-FM and Stockholm-based live arts‐education organization and interactive concept-club KULT-U-REAL
.
From its 1994 London/Brooklyn inception, Marque’s drumming and live performances with DRUM‐FM literally pioneered the musical sub-genre phenomenon known as Live DRUM’n’BASS! He remains an icon of independent Underground Music in the UK, Europe and beyond, heavily influenced and supported by his early years in New York City as a founder member of the infamous Black Rock Coalition.

Gilmore’s primary work over the past 35+ years connects ancient musical traditions, modern music and music‐technology in both performance and production…otherwise known as: “Science-Friction-Drum-and-Space”.

DAVID GILMORE (Guitar)

He has worked with Wayne Shorter (appearing on Mr. Shorter’s Grammy Award winning album, High Life (Verve)), Dave Douglas, Muhal Richard Abrams, Sam Rivers, Steve Coleman, Cassandra Wilson, Don Byron, Uri Caine, Randy Brecker, David Sanborn, Ron Blake, Carolyn Leonhart and Christian McBride, among many others.

In addition to his significance presence on the international touring scene, Gilmore has also appeared on over 50 recordings, including two of his own as leader.
