Funhouse Comedy Club returns to The Wycliffe Rooms, Lutterworth on Saturday February 18th for a night full of laughter, as part of The Leicester Comedy Festival’s Big Weekend.
Topping the bill is the hilarious Jonny Awsum, who appeared on ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent 2017 and cajoled Ant and Dec into joining his audition and has just supported Jason Manford on his arena tour. Starting out as barman at The Chuckle Club for eight years he then decided to take to the stage. With his guitar and musical parodies he amuses his audiences charming them with his warm and friendly persona, his style of audience participation is second to none. He has presented for Sky Sports, been warm up act for Big Brother and Loose Women and also starred in several adverts including Cravendale, The Post Office, Experian and even Puntigamer beer in Austria.
Opening the night will be the cheeky and camp Stephen Bailey, who’s appeared on TV’s ‘Live at The Apollo’, ‘Big Brother’s Bit On The Side’ and done warm-ups for ‘Let’s Lunch with Gino and Mel’ and ‘Loose Women’. With his sharp wit and warm persona he soon has his audiences fascinated.
Also appearing is comedian and actress Fiona Allen who has appeared on ‘Mock the Week’ and in many sketch shows, including ‘Smack the Pony’.
Compere for the night will be James Cook with his sharp tongue and dry sense of humour he previously worked as a presenter on commercial radio stations, went on air with A-ha and presented Lenny Henry with his ‘Walk of Fame’.
