About the Festival
The 11th Bach Festival Gers 2026 returns to the beautiful Gers department in the Occitania region of southern France for another season of exceptional classical music. Running from 24 July to 8 August, this beloved festival takes place across seven historic venues in the Gascon countryside, celebrating the timeless works of Johann Sebastian Bach alongside masterpieces by Mozart, Reger, Britten, and Weinberg in a series of intimate concerts set against the stunning backdrop of medieval villages and Romanesque churches.
This year’s festival features an extraordinary line-up of internationally acclaimed artists: Czech cellist and poet Anna Brikciusová, organist and composer Irena Kosíková, cellist František Brikcius, and the celebrated DUO BRIKCIUS — two cellists, two siblings, one unforgettable musical experience. Each concert is carefully curated to showcase the unique acoustic properties of its venue.
