Funhouse Comedy brings another night full of laughter to the Walnut Tree Inn, Blisworth on Thursday April 27th.
Topping the bill is the hilarious Jonny Awsum, who appeared on ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent 2017 and cajoled Ant and Dec into joining his audition and has just supported Jason Manford on his arena tour. Starting out as barman at The Chuckle Club for eight years he then decided to take to the stage. With his guitar and musical parodies he amuses his audiences charming them with his warm and friendly persona, his style of audience participation is second to none. He has presented for Sky Sports, been warm up act for Big Brother and Loose Women and also starred in several adverts including Cravendale, The Post Office, Experian and even Puntigamer beer in Austria.
Opening the night will be UK-based, French comedian and raconteur Marcel Lucont who has appeared on ‘The John Bishop Show’ and ‘Russell Howard’s Good News’. Having toured the world with his dry wit, bawdy chansons and exquisite poetry he has the audience laughing from start to finish. His deadpan delivery and surreal musings are both inspirational and fascinating.
Completing the line-up is Tiziano La Bella from Rome, who started his career performing in Italian but after moving to London in 2018 he found out that stand-up comedy can be done in English too!!
Compere for the night will be James Cook with his sharp tongue and dry sense of humour he previously worked as a presenter on commercial radio stations, went on air with A-ha and presented Lenny Henry with his ‘Walk of Fame’.
