Funhouse Comedy is back at the Walnut Tree Inn, Blisworth on Thursday June 29th for more fun and laughter.
Topping the bill is the compelling and frank comedian and writer, Daliso Chaponda who came 3rd in ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ in 2017 and then landed himself his own stand-up comedy show on BBC Radio 4. Hailing from Malawi, where his father is a government minister, he started his comedy career in Canada with the much-admired one man show ‘Feed This Black Man’. With his ability to talk about anything from politics and religion to romance, he amuses his audiences with his distinctive accent and unique outlook on the world.
Opening the night will be the intelligent, controversially witty, hip and silly Markus Birdman, who recently appeared on ‘Britain’s Got Talent.’ Regarded by many in the know as one of the best circuit acts in the country, he has toured internationally and had highly acclaimed shows at the Edinburgh Festival. His dandyish onstage confidence, versatility and infectious nature result in a truly absorbing performance.
Completing the line-up is the confident and amusing Pete Selwood.
Compere for the night will be James Cook with his sharp tongue and dry sense of humour he previously worked as a presenter on commercial radio stations, went on air with A-ha and presented Lenny Henry with his ‘Walk of Fame’.
