Funhouse Comedy returns to The Garage, Chilwell (Barton’s) Nottingham on Friday May 19th for another night full of laughter.
Topping the bill the intrinsically funny Lloyd Griffith comedian, choirboy and an ‘aspiring’ goalkeeper who has supported Jack Whitehall and Rob Beckett on tour. He has also made numerous TV appearances including as regular host on Sky Sports’ Soccer AM and on Comedy Central Live at The Comedy Store. As a choirboy in Grimsby, he sang on ‘The National Lottery, with Dudley Moore who played the piano. Then later in life sang backing vocals on a Bee Gees album. A professional singer but always a natural jester he turned to stand-up and with his down-to-earth cynicism and lively attitude, he enthrals the crowd.
Opening the night will be the charismatic and highly talented Sony Award winner, Tom Wrigglesworth, comedian, Radio and TV presenter and voice-over artist who has had two series’ on BBC Radio 4. An articulate and natural raconteur, he possesses an innate ability to riff with an audience like they’re old friends. His warm and hilarious tales, told with true passion never fail to captivate everyone.
Completing the line-up is the incredibly funny cutlery sage Ian Crawford, with his unique safety advice.
Compere for the night will be James Cook with his sharp tongue and dry sense of humour he previously worked as a presenter on commercial radio stations, went on air with A-ha and presented Lenny Henry with his ‘Walk of Fame.’
