Funhouse Comedy Club is back at the Grainstore Brewery, Oakham on Thursday March 30th for another night full of laughter.
Topping the bill is Rob Rouse, ever exuberant and recognizable from his many TV appearances including ‘Upstart Crow’, ‘8 Out Of Ten Cats’, John Bishop’s Only Joking’, ‘Celebrity Juice’, ‘Dave’s One Night Stand’ and ‘The Friday Night Project’, as well as making a guest appearance on ‘Coronation Street’. With his cheeky banter and extremely funny tales, he’s always one step ahead of his audience’s expectations and keeps them enthralled with his comedic storytelling.
Opening the night will be the energetic and satirical writer and comedian Geoff Norcott who recently won a BBC Radio and Music Award for Best Comedy Production and has many TV credits to his name, including Live at The Apollo (BBC 2), The Mash Report (BBC2), Question Time (BBC2) and Comedy Bigmouths (C5). He delivers an eclectic mix of dark material, impressions and politics with a confident smile and optimism. His shrewd standpoints on life make his anecdotes extremely appealing and leave everyone wanting for more.
Also appearing is actor, script writer and comedian the cheeky and gifted Meryl O’Rourke, who has supported Frankie Boyle on tour. Her excellent mix of bitter adult and youthful fun captivates the crowd as she relates her stories.
Compere for the night will be Barry Dodds winner of Best MC, Midlands Comedy Awards for 4 years running and co-star of the ‘The ParaPod Movie’ which has been selling out cinemas, who charms the crowd with his energy, spirit and tantalizing wit.
