A fundraising film screening of The Most Reluctant Convert: The Untold Story of C.S. Lewis is a 2021 biographical drama film written and directed by Norman Stone at Magdalen College Grove Auditorium.

A film screening of The Most Reluctant Convert: The Untold Story of C.S. Lewis is a 2021 biographical drama film written and directed by Norman Stone, based on the 2016 stage play, C.S. Lewis on Stage: The Most Reluctant Convert, by Max McLean (which itself was based on Lewis’ memoir Surprised by Joy). It is about the life and conversion of British writer and lay theologian C. S. Lewis, author of The Chronicles of Narnia series. The film stars McLean, Nicholas Ralph, Eddie Ray Martin, Richard Harrington, Amy Alexander, and Tom Glenister.

By kind permission of Norman Stone (1A Productions), and with thanks to the Dean of Magdalen College Chapel, all proceeds from this film screening will be donated to the ‘Open Door’ building project at Holy Trinity Headington Quarry (C.S. Lewis’s parish church).

At the Grove Auditorium, Magdalen CollegeTea and coffee will be available from 2.30pm and the film screening will commence at 3pm.
