Maggie Lane was the minister at Kirkliston Parish Church of Scotland for 10 years, stepping down in late 2019, and then moving to Fife with the intention developing a more itinerant prophetic ministry, supporting others in leadership and a plan to write. The arrival of the Corona Virus Pandemic in 2020 alongside a period of ill health placed much of this on hold.
As part of Gillespie Memorial Church, Maggie will tell some of her story that involves the miraculous: it is one of her death and resurrection whilst visiting Israel, and of a heaven experience that has shaped her life since that moment.
Maggie worked in hospitality management both in Scotland and abroad, as well as in community development, campaigning, and counselling before moving into parish ministry with the Church of Scotland. She also recently served on the Board of Directors for Sannox Christian Centre on the Isle of Arran – a place of Christian retreat, reflecting Celtic Church values. As a member of Gillespie Memorial Church, she continues to serve in the preaching ministry and is part of the Leadership Team.
Maggie’s desire as a teacher/prophet brings a commitment to healing and restoration of both people and the land through equipping the people of God. She loves encouraging individuals and communities to achieve greater intimacy in their relationship with God and maturing their faith.
Testimony and Praise on the 11th November is a FREE event, with registration required, and is a great opportunity to come and hear an amazing true story of death, life and renewal.
