EDINBURGH FESTIVAL PREVIEW ALL-DAYER AT NEW BARRACK TAVERN, SHEFFIELD

Funhouse Comedy brings another outstanding day of comedy to the covered beer garden stage at The New Barrack Tavern, Sheffield on Sunday July 16th with its second Edinburgh Festival Preview All-Dayer.

2.00pm – Glenn Wool – The Tardigrades Picnic
This is Glenn’s 25th solo show. He’s played every comedy festival, been on every TV channel and made people laugh professionally for over 30 years. When he’s performing, he’s not trying to make you sad. You will laugh, he’s very good at this. If that’s the kind of thing that sounds appealing to you, then pre-book your ticket now to avoid disappointment. If that seems like too big of risk, then that’s cool too.

3.25pm – Patrick Monahan – Exclusively
Monahan has performed in over 1,000 cities and towns, and dozens of countries around the world! Travelling more miles than the whole of NASA’s space flights! Come see him now before he does his Mars stadium tour 2024! Exclusively yours! ‘Hilarious without being outrageous’ ***** (ThreeWeeks).

4.50pm – Kevin Daniel
Scottish funnyman Kevin Daniel one of the fastest rising stars on the Midlands circuit with hilarious, relatable material going down a storm at clubs across the region. His commanding stage presence, exquisite storytelling and quips aplenty always leave audiences wanting more.

6.15pm – Scott Bennett
British Comedian of the Year Finalist, the incredible Scott Bennett who recently made his ‘Live at the Apollo’ debut and is widely tipped in the industry as on the brink of the big time. He was also runner up in 2014 English Comedian Of The Year competition, Best Show Nominee Leicester Comedy Festival 2019 and support for both Michael McIntyre and Rob Brydon. This loveable rising star enthrals the crowd with his warm and engaging delivery, he is a Yorkshire live wire with an undeniable no nonsense logic, who has been busy entertaining people through the lockdown, with his ‘Stand Up From The Shed’ online show.

7.30pm – Eric Rushton – Not That Deep
Best New Show Nominee 2023 (Leicester Comedy Festival). Daughters, lock up your mothers – Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year Eric Rushton returns to the Fringe. Less about death than his first show and more about dolphins. ‘Manages to keep a stag party almost rapt even while talking about the toxic pressures of masculinity’ (Chortle.co.uk). ‘Reminiscent of Sean Lock’ (Scotsman).

8.45pm – Dan Tiernan – Going Under
He’s 27, gay and riddled with dyspraxia. Dan’s had a big year, quitting his job as a dinner lady, going full-time in comedy and finally leaving home, yet somehow he still feels he’s completely going under. The reigning BBC New Comedy Awards winner and British Comedian of the Year presents his gag-heavy, high-energy debut hour. Tour support for Micky Flanagan and Jamali Maddix. As seen on BBC, Channel 4, Comedy Central, Dave and ITV2. ‘Raucously entertaining’ (Guardian). ‘A force-of-nature who sweeps the room up in his exhilarating performance into a frenzy of laughter’ (Chortle.co.uk).
