About the Event
Bookings are now open as Harlequin Watford reveals the full Club HQ summer programme — a brand-new, month-long line-up of fitness, family fun and wellness experiences taking place throughout August 2026. Running from Saturday 1st to Monday 31st August, Club HQ transforms Harlequin into the ultimate summer destination, bringing together fitness classes, family activities, wellness sessions, community events and activities on a custom-built compact padel court in Charter Place.
Open seven days a week throughout August, the activity court offers something new to discover every day. Selected bookable sessions cost just £3, with all proceeds (excluding platform fees) donated to Watford FC Community Sports & Education Trust.
The Weekly Programme
Club HQ features a packed programme of themed activity days throughout the month, so visitors can keep entertained all summer with a choice of activities ranging from fitness to family entertainment, wellbeing experiences, community activities and introductory padel sessions:
- Motivation Monday – kick-start the week with the Over 50s Fit & Fab class, designed to improve strength, balance and mobility in a fun, beginner-friendly standing workout, plus the lunchtime Harlequin Hustle fitness session combining strength training, cardio and feel-good vibes.
- Little Ones Tuesday – fun dance sessions designed especially for toddlers and young children, hosted by Dance ARC and Dawn Aikman.
- Teddy Padel Wednesday – start the day with Teddy Padel sessions introducing younger children to padel through fun, engaging activities, followed by Harlequin Hoops with lower basketball hoops before switching to full-height hoops in the afternoon. Drop-in sessions, so simply turn up and join in. End the day with Watford FC – Man ON! at Club HQ, a football-based mental health support session for adult men combining 2v2 and 3v3 games, football tennis and penalty challenges with a relaxed space to build friendships and peer support.
- Wellness Thursday – unwind with a relaxing 6:30pm Pilates class before making the most of late-night shopping until 8pm.
- Feel Good Friday – learn freestyle football skills in a beginner-friendly Impact Sport session led by experienced coaches, before enjoying energetic Latin Beats dance sessions to kickstart the weekend.
- Intro to Padel with Encourt Saturday – take part in 30-minute beginner-friendly sessions introducing the rules, scoring and key techniques of padel, before putting new skills to the test in a fun mini match. Led by Encourt, one of the UK’s leading indoor padel and wellness clubs.
- Yoga & Wellness Sunday – start Sunday feeling refreshed with a morning Yognastics yoga and wellness session.
Special Events & Highlights
Watford FC Community Sports & Education Trust hosts two special sessions on Thursday 13th and Friday 14th August: mature adults are invited to enjoy a free extra time session featuring gentle exercise, games and social activities, while young audiences can take part in the Premier League Kicks 3v3 Tournament, using football to build confidence, teamwork and life skills in a fun, safe and supportive environment.
On Saturday 29th August, visitors can enjoy exclusive JD Burn workout sessions from JD Gyms throughout the day, alongside giveaways and nutrition samples from Applied Nutrition. On Monday 31st August, Flip Out brings the fun with a Roller Disco takeover, where families can enjoy an afternoon of roller skating to round off the summer holidays.
Club HQ visitors also get exclusive access to the Spin to Win game — with the chance to win retailer rewards, prizes and official Club HQ merchandise — plus a dedicated Club HQ Photobooth, taking home a printed photo and digital keepsake from their summer visit.
Getting There
Club HQ takes place at The Harlequin Centre in Charter Place, Watford town centre, WD17 2UB. The centre is easily reached by train — Watford Junction and Watford High Street stations are both a short walk away — and by bus from across Hertfordshire. There is parking at The Harlequin’s multi-storey car park and nearby town centre car parks.
