Funhouse Comedy Club returns to the Gladstone Theatre, Wirral on Friday April 29th with a great line-up of comedians.
Topping the bill is comedian, actor, writer, BBC Radio presenter and juggler Steve Royle, who came 3rd in the final of Britain’s Got Talent 2020 and previously performed as a warm-up act on the Royal Variety performance. He spent many years as the court jester at Camelot theme park and has supported Peter Kay and Dave Spikey on tour. His TV appearances include ‘Phoenix Nights’, ‘Live at the Palladium’ and ‘Max and Paddy’. Amusing his audiences with his high energy and distinctive talents, there’s something for everyone.
Opening the night will be 2021 British Comedian of the Year Finalist, the incredible Scott Bennett, recently made his ‘Live at the Apollo’ debut and is widely tipped in the industry as on the brink of the big time; runner up in 2014 English Comedian Of The Year competition, Best Show Nominee Leicester Comedy Festival 2019 and support for both Michael McIntyre and Rob Brydon. This loveable rising star enthrals the crowd with his warm and engaging delivery, he is a Yorkshire live wire with an undeniable no nonsense logic, who has been busy entertaining people through the lockdown, with his ‘Stand Up From The Shed’ online show.
Completing the line-up is Winner of ‘Last Minute Comedian of the Year’ 2017 and finalist in ‘English Comedian of Year’ 2017, the instantly likeable, confident and cheeky Clayton Jones, with his observational comedy and tales of everyday family life.
Compere for the night will be the cheeky, chatty Dave Twentyman, who puts a big smile on everyone’s face. Talking a lot about the subjects closer to home such as family life and friends.
