Funhouse Comedy is back at the Lyric Rooms, Ashby-de-la-Zouch on Thursday April 6th for a great night of laughter.
Topping the bill is Matt Bragg a master of delivery, with timing that keeps you hanging on the edge and then on the edge again. His dry humour and subtle anecdotes leave the audience listening intently wanting more of the cool, calm, and collected comedian. The son of television warm-up man Bobby Bragg, Matt has been performing stand-up all over the country performing at some of the largest clubs in the UK, doing warm-up shows with Ricky Gervais and supporting Harry Hill.
Opening the night will be the somewhat cynical and gloomy Mike Gunn, who despite this has the ability to get the crowd on his side, however far he pushes! In his first Edinburgh Festival Show, he appeared as a funeral director! He has appeared on numerous TV programmes, including Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow (BBC1), Celebrity Deal or no Deal (CH 4), and Harry Hill’s TV Burp (ITV). He has also been a contributor for The Guardian and written for Time Out, The List and Match of the Day Magazine and was support for Lee Mack on a huge theatre tour.
Also appearing will be the witty and eloquent Ant Dewson, with his musical comedy feast and rhyming riot.
Completing the line-up is the fresh, punchy gag-driven Jonathan Elston who mixes his sharp jokes with quirky observations.
Compere for the night will be the cheeky and friendly Stevie Gray with his boundless energy and mix of news and comedy.
