Worthy Earth Festival is a celebration of the Summer’s harvests with an excellent lineup of live music on the rolling hills of Dummer Down Farm, Hampshire. Over the course of three days and nights of music and dance, craft workshops and talks, Worthy Earth Festival is set to be another powerful get together and a resounding call to the simplicity of the Good Life. This year, we welcome headliners Stornoway to the lineup for a performance of their rousing and celebrated songs from their three studio albums which over the years have touched and inspired a generation of listeners. It is a rare chance to see the cult Indie-Folk band back on stage after a short hiatus. They’re joined by a brilliant and varied roster of bands and musicians spanning a deep range of folk, world, jazz and dub sounds sure to provide bliss, groove and a measure of downright raucousness too.
Guest speakers, including the Godfather of No-dig Gardening Charles Dowding will grace our talk-tent, providing valuable insights into the practical crafts that will enable our collective flourishing in the future. Workshops, presentations and poetry readings to spark your interest are dotted throughout the three day lineup, as well as a special theatre performance from Three Acres and A Cow, the group famous for their scintillating and original musical delving into the history of the UK’s land rights. Late night DJ’ing runs into the early hours at our sound proofed secret stage for the party people, and a delicious array of local food vendors, locally-stocked bar of ales, ciders, wines and perry, and a makers’ market offering local wares, create the feeling of genuinely self-sufficient community that you won’t want to leave!
A comfortable campsite atop the coppiced hill of Dummer Down Farm provides a quaint get away into the country at the very least, but you can be sure to experience moments of calm, collective joy, exhilaration, mindfulness and cultural insight at the Worthy Earth Festival over the Autumn Equinox Weekend very rare to find elsewhere.
We have kept our ticket prices as affordable as we possibly can, understanding that the current climate is one of financial struggle for us all.
