Funhouse Comedy Club returns to the Grainstore Brewery, Oakham on Thursday October 27th for another great of laughter.
Topping the bill is the hilarious Jonny Awsum, who appeared on ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent 2017 and cajoled Ant and Dec into joining his audition! Starting out as barman at The Chuckle Club for eight years he then decided to take to the stage. With his guitar and musical parodies he entertains the crowd charming them with his warm and friendly persona, his style of audience participation is second to none. He has presented for Sky Sports, been warm up act for Big Brother and Loose Women and also starred in several adverts including Cravendale, The Post Office, Experian and even Puntigamer beer in Austria.
Opening the night will be the compelling and frank comedian and writer, Daliso Chaponda who came 3rd in ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ in 2017 and then landed himself his own stand-up comedy show on BBC Radio 4. Hailing from Malawi, where his father is a government minister, he started his comedy career in Canada with the much-admired one man show ‘Feed This Black Man’. With his ability to talk about anything from politics and religion to romance, he amuses his audiences with his distinctive accent and unique outlook on the world.
Completing the line-up is screen writer, actor and comedian the energetic, quick witted and naturally funny Joe Zalias with his entertaining personal tales and charming persona, he captivates everyone.
Compere for the night will be the effervescent Cerys Nelmes, enchanting people with her West Country charm and hilarious tales.
