Funhouse Comedy Club, which already runs successful nights at numerous venues across the country, is excited to announce the launch of a brand new comedy night at The Boho Bakery, King’s Stanley on Friday November 18th.
Funhouse clubs are renowned for having exceptionally friendly audiences and a brilliant atmosphere, which have led to twice winning Best Midlands Comedy Club awards with leading comedy website Chortle. Previous acts to have played its clubs on their road to the top include Sarah Millican, Joe Lycett, James Acaster and Rhod Gilbert, who described the clubs as “among the best anywhere in the world.”
Topping the bill is plummy, funny and firey, Diane Spencer, an award-winning comedian with a rapidly growing YouTube channel of over 10K subscribers and 1 million views. She has performed worldwide including The Laugh Factory and world famous Improv (LA), received critical acclaim at the Edinburgh Fringe festival and appeared on several TV programmes including Red Light Comedy Live from Amsterdam.
Opening the night will be comedian and script writer Sean Percival. His brand of comedy steers clear of the surreal and confronts realism in an explosively funny way. His down to earth act is unforgettable with its upfront attitude, no long stories, just gags galore.
Completing the line-up is Ben Harrington, talking about his life experiences and family encounters as a frustrated middle-aged man.
Compere for the night will be the warm and welcoming Nik Hill.
